Your Consultation, What to Expect
The first consultation is an opportunity for you to discuss in detail any physical or emotional health problems, which may be causing you concern or discomfort. All information, which you provide, is confidential. During your consultation it is important that you feel able to discuss any concerns-no matter how small you think they seem. I may be interested in many aspects of your health, which may appear to be unrelated to your presenting complaint. The first consultation can take some time, because I will need detailed information about your health and how you are feeling, in order to help me to select the most appropriate remedy for you, at this time. Be prepared for the first consultation to last about 1 1/2 hours for adults and 1 hour for children.
Family Consultations: Where more than one family member is receiving treatment, a mother and child, it is usually preferable for adults to speak to me alone for at least a short part of the consultation; I must emphasize again that whatever a patient, even a minor, tells me is in the strictest confidence.
Treatment and Prescriptions
Your prescription will be a remedy that matches your own unique pattern of symptoms, taking into account your genetic background, medical history and personality characteristics. Treatment will be aimed at relieving the most recent symptoms first, whilst addressing any underlying cause to minimize further deterioration or recurrence of symptoms. You may be given a remedy on the day of your appointment, or alternatively, I may need to spend more time considering the full picture in depth. Any remedy or remedies will either be given to you at the end of the consultation, or will be sent to you shortly after the appointment. I will provide you with a information explaining how and when to take the remedy. However, do not hesitate to contact me if you have any concerns or queries about the medication.
Your consultation fee will include any remedies prescribed at this initial appointment.
Subsequent Appointments
Subsequent appointments will normally take about 45 minutes and I recommend that these take place at 4 to 6 weekly intervals for approximately 3 to 4 visits, although this may vary according to the severity and length of your health problems. After 3-4 visits, a review will usually take place.
Positive effects are often noticed in the early stages of treatment, whilst long-lasting improvements in general health can take a while longer. Sometimes symptoms can increase initially: this is a good sign and is usually followed by an improvement in physical and overall health. Once improvement is stabilised, appointments will be required less often; perhaps every 2 to 3 months by mutual consent. However, please contact me between appointments should you have any other difficulties.
Cancelled Appointments
As there are likely to be other patients booked in, please try to ensure that you arrive on time, and to give at least 24 hours’ notice if you are unable to attend for any reason: if such notice is not given, a cancellation charge of the full fee may apply.
